fastest out of a field of 16 racecars in the Don Palmer Super Late
Model. He finished in 3rd position in the feature race.
November 8, 2008- Duck River Speedway SRRS Series- Josh set third
fastest time in his group which earned him the outside pole start in his
group's heat race. Josh finished the heat in second place which locked
him into an 8th row start in the 40 lap SRRS Super Late Model feature.
In the feature, Josh had come up to 4th place when another car got into
him cutting a tire down ending Josh's racing for the rest of the night.
November 1, 2008-Thunderhill Raceway- Josh set fast time with a
time of 11.64. This is the second fastest time ever recorded in the
history of Thunderhill Raceway! On the start of the feature, the left
front shock pin broke ending Josh's racing for the night.

September 30, 2008- After Saturday night's crash which totaled
Josh's Crate Car, Joe Minga offered the 212 Race Team a 2007 C. J.
Rayburn Crate Car to run. Early in the week, the team traveled to Joe's
shop in Shannon, MS to pick the car up. They brought the car home and
dropped the Howard Motorsports Crate engine into it. A very special
thank you to Joe for giving the team the opportunity to race one of his
cars.

that I took at Columbus Speedway. There are several pics of Bub McCool's
new Halloween wrap, Chris Wall's new color scheme and more.
September 27, 2008- Columbus, Mississippi Magnolia 100- Josh
started the Magnolia State 100 LMS/Crate Championship, $2508.00 to win
feature race on the inside pole with Eric Cooley on the outside pole.
The start of the race would find Cooley in first place with Josh right
behind him. For the better part of the 25 lap feature Josh would try
Cooley for the first place position. Josh drove a good clean race
although Cooley did anything and everything to keep Josh from passing
him. Around lap 20, Josh would successfully pass Cooley for the lead
only to have a yellow flag which put Josh back behind Cooley for the
restart. On lap 23, just 2 laps from the win, Josh made another bid for
the first place position. He had passed Cooley almost completely when
Cooley turned into Josh putting him into the wall. The impact would
total the Putnam Racing CJ Rayburn race car.
September 26, 2008- Columbus, Mississippi Magnolia State 100
qualifying races. Congratulations to #212 Josh Putnam on his heat win at
the Magnolia Sate 100 in Columbus, MS last night. With 66 Crate Late
Models/Late Model Stocks entered, Josh powered his Don Palmer
Enterprises, Texas Roadhouse Crate Late Model to a first place finish in
the first LMS/Crate heat of the night. The win earned him the pole
starting position in tomorrow night's 40 lap feature. Josh is defending
his title as the 2007 LMS/Crate Magnolia 100 State Champion. WTG Josh
and good luck tonight!
September 20, 2008- Out of a field of 47 race cars, Josh missed
making the feature race by only one position.

Late Model car to Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee to compete in
the Southern Regional Racing Series 75 lap, $10,000 to win special. With
a rented engine, Josh qualified 8th fastest in his group and finished
his heat race in 6th place.
September 12, 2008- The race team once again traveled to
Thunderhill Raceway to compete in the 40 lap Crate/Late Model Stock
special. Josh qualified 4th fastest out of a field of 19 cars. He
finished the feature in 2nd place.
September 6, 2008- The Putnam Racing Crew traveled to Thunderhill

the field to second place when he tangled with another car. The damage
would put in the pits for the rest of the night.
August 31, 2008- Out of a field of 24 Super Late Models, Josh
qualified 3rd fastest. On lap 28, while battling for first place, the
engine started to overheat putting an end to the race for the Palmer
Enterprises, Texas Roadhouse race car. Josh still scored a 16th place
finish.
August 30, 2008- Working hard all week, Josh and the crew put
together a brand new Palmer Enterprises, Texas Roadhouse 2009
MasterSbuilt Super Late Model. Debuting the new car at Thunderhill
Raceway for the SRRS 40 lap Super Late Model race. The night started out
great with Josh setting quick time in his group. the night took a turn
for the worse when a broken shock took Josh out of the race for the
night. Josh still scored a 15th place finish out of a field of 28 cars.
August 22, 2008- Out of a field of 9 Super Late Models at North
Alabama Speedway, Josh had the 2nd fastest qualifying time. While hot
lapping before the feature, the car suddenly started flipping through
the air. The car rolled several times before coming to rest upright on
the track. Josh was unhurt but the car was destroyed. After inspecting
the car, it was determined that the crash was caused by a broken right
front shock. As Josh set the car in turns 1-2, the broken shock caused
the right front of the car to dig in which started the car to
roll. Pictures are posted on the PHOTOS page.
August 17, 2008- Josh sets second fastest time in the Super Late
Models at Thunderhill Raceway. He finished the feature in third place.
August 9, 2008- Josh and the 212 crew took the Super Late Model
car to Thunderhill Raceway. Josh set quick time earning him the pole
position starting place in the feature. Claiming that Josh jumped the
start of the race, officials put him back in the second row for the
restart. On lap three, another driver hit Josh in the left rear wheel
and turned him sideways. After that car ended up on top of Josh's hood,
Josh went to the pits thinking that the car had suffered major damage.
The crew saw what was mostly sheet metal damage, quickly did what
repairs they could and sent Josh back out onto the track. Hitting the
track just as the race was restarted, Josh came from the rear up to
third place but engine trouble kept him from advancing any further. He
finished the race in third place.
August 8, 2008- Working until the last minute on getting the
engine in the Super Late Model, the crew finally got it in and made it
to North Alabama Speedway just in time for the time trials. Qualifying
6th fastest, Josh started the feature third row outside. Josh had come
from sixth place and was running in third place when a second spin due
to handling problems sent him to the pits for the night.
August 2, 2008- Working all day to repair the car, Josh and the
crew finally headed out with the Crate car to Thunderhill Speedway.
Starting the second feature on the back, Josh started toward the front.
On the last lap he made an impressive move in turns 3 and 4 to take the
lead and the checkered flag. In the feature, Josh quickly took the lead
and led every lap taking the win.
August 1, 2008- Josh took the Crate Late Model to North Alabama
Speedway. Starting the feature in the third position, the race was
quickly cut short for Josh. 2 laps in, the two cars in front of Josh
wrecked and he had no place to go. Serious damage to the right front of
the car caused Josh not to be able to continue.
July 25-26, 2008- Josh will be off this weekend.
July 19, 2008- Josh set 3rd fastest time of the Super Late Models
at North Alabama Speedway and finished the feature in 5th place. We are

for the kids, Josh also brought along the Texas Roadhouse's Andy
Armadillo. Andy and his helpers, Dave, Brooke, and Kelly, visited with
fans in the grandstands and the pit area. They also tossed out peanuts,
Frisbees and footballs to the crowd.
This was Josh's first time to enter a Lucas Oil Series race and to race
with the "Big Guns" of Super Late Models. Out of a field of 30 cars,
Josh qualified in with a 12.91 lap time. Josh finished 6th in the third
heat race of the night earning him a starting position in the 40 lap
feature. Starting the feature in 18th position, Josh quickly started
moving toward the head of the pack. In less than 10 laps, Josh had moved
up to 7th place. His charge toward the front would come to an end when
he couldn't avoid becoming involved in a multi-car pile up. The
extensive damage to his car would put him in the pits for the remainder
of the race. Even so, Josh still was credited with a 17th place finish.
July 5, 2008- Josh brought out his Crate Late Model car to run
the special 30 lap Crate Late Model race tonight at Thunderhill Raceway.
Josh set quick time and led all 30 laps to take the win!
July 4,
2008- Josh sets quick time and wins at North Alabama Speedway. Out
of a field of 10 Super Late Models, Josh set the quick time and chose to
start outside pole in the feature. Josh jumped out front right away and
led every lap to take the win. Josh is the first Super Late Model driver
to win 2 features this season at NAS breaking the 9 race, 9 different
winners streak.

feature in 3rd place.

Alabama Speedway and had moved up to 4th when a spin on lap 13 put him
out for the night.
JUNE 21,
2008- Working hard, the crew put in another crate engine in time for
us to barely make it to Columbus Speedway. Josh did a GREAT job! He
qualified 7th fastest out of almost 40 entries in the Nesmith Chevrolet
Crate Late Model Race. This earned him a starting position in the
feature and he finished the race in 8th place.
JUNE 20,
2008- It wasn't a very good night for Josh tonight. Josh brought out
his Crate Late Model car to run in the Nesmith Chevrolet Crate race at
North Alabama Speedway. During hot laps, Josh knew the engine wasn't
running right. A broken rod and rocker arm was discovered and fixed.
Again, while running his time trials, the engine wasn't running right.
Another rod and rocker arm was broken. The crew got it fixed in time for
Josh to start the B-main. That was a great race! Josh charged from his
8th place starting position to the front taking the win. This earned him
a 12th place starting position in the feature race. Just a few laps into
the feature, Josh left the track again due to engine trouble.
June 14,
2008- JOSH WINS AT NORTH ALABAMA SPEEDWAY!! Josh sets quick time and
leads every lap to take the win!
June 2, 2008- A delay in parts needed will keep Josh from racing
again this weekend.

May 24, 2008- Thunderhill Speedway- Josh qualified 4th fastest in
the Super Modifieds. In the feature, Josh had passed the #121 of Anthony
