June 12, 2010- Thunderhill Raceway- Josh would qualify in second fastest out of 13 Super Late Models securing a front row starting position for the feature race. At the beginning of the feature, Tony Morris would take the lead with David Earl Gentry in second and Josh in third place. They would finish the feature in the same order.

June 11, 2010- North Alabama Speedway- Out of 13 entries, Josh would set quick time earning the pole position in the $1500 to win feature race. During the hot lap session for the Super's, Josh would get a shock on his car bent and another one would have to be put on. In a caution filled feature race, Josh would take the lead at the drop of the green flag. The first caution of the night would come with only one lap completed. On the restart, Josh would take the lead again. Several cautions and wrecks later that would take out half of the field of cars, Josh would still be in the lead. Coming out of turn 4 about half way through the feature, the handling issue would cause Josh to spin. Josh would rejoin the tail of the field before a caution was thrown. Josh would come back through the field of racecars and with only a couple of laps left to go, he would be challenging Daniel Miller for fourth place. Josh would finish the feature in fifth place.

May 30, 2010- Duck River Speedway- Even with the threatening skies the car count would be great for this SRRS event. 40 Super Late Models registered in for the 40-lap feature race. Qualifying in fourth fastest in his group, Josh would have to run a heat for a chance into the feature. Starting outside pole in the heat, Josh quickly jumped out front and won the heat. This would secure a sixth row inside starting position for the feature. Josh would move up to finish the feature in seventh place. Good job Josh on 2 top ten finishes this weekend!

May 29, 2010- Thunderhill Raceway- Out of 28 entries, Josh would qualify in second fastest in his group which secured a second row outside start in the 30-lap SRRS feature. During the feature the track quickly locked down and most cars finished where they started. Josh would finish the race in fourth place.

May 22, 2010- Thunderhill Raceway- After hot laps the team made a few chassis adjustments and Josh would qualify in second fastest overall out of 18 Super Late Models. Josh would start the feature race outside pole. Josh quickly took the lead. It looked like we had finally shook the monkey off when bad luck struck again. After leading the race for 7 laps, the power steering would go out on the race car and Josh would almost spin in turns 1-2. Gathering the car back up, Josh would rejoin the race before a caution was thrown. Manhandling the car for the rest of the 25 lap race, Josh would finish the feature in 7th place.

May 21, 2010- North Alabama Speedway- P.R.O. series race. Rained out.

May 15, 2010- Thunderhill Raceway- The team would take the Joe Minga #19 to Thunderhill Raceway. Rain would start just minutes into the hot laps putting an end to all racing for the night.

May 8, 2010- Wartburg Speedway- Leaving Boyd's Speedway Saturday morning, the team travelled to Wartburg, TN, for the second night of the SRRS double header. 21 Supers would register in. Josh qualified third fastest in his group and fourth fastest overall. Only the top 2 from each group transferred to the feature. Josh finished the B-main in third earning a 10th place start in the main feature. Josh would advance to finish the feature in 8th place.

May 7, 2010- Boyd's Speedway- The team travelled to Ringgold, GA, to compete in a weekend of racing with the Southern Regional Racing Series. 33 Super Late Models registered in. Josh qualified 4th fastest in his group but since they were only taking the top 3 from each group, Josh would have to run a B-main. Josh would pilot the Joe Minga #19 racecar to take the win in the B-main securing a 11th place start in the feature event. Just a few laps into the caution plagued feature the cars in front of Josh would get tangled up and Josh would have to hit the brakes to keep from ramming them. The car behind Josh did not check up and tried to go under Josh catching the racecar in the left front wheel. The damage caused would keep Josh from competing further.

April 30,2010- This week Joe Minga called Josh and offered him a a super late model to run while Josh gets his car back up and going. Josh and Curtis went down to Joe's shop and picked the car up and brought it back to their shop. The crew went to Thunderhill Raceway on Friday night to test the car out since it hadn't really been set up for Josh. Handling problems were apparent right off the bat during hot laps when the backend of the car came around with Josh in 3&4 causing him to spin into the wall. The crew repaired the car and did some adjustments but the handling problems persisted. Even so, Josh would qualify 3rd fastest for an inside 2nd row starting position for the feature. Just a few laps into the feature, the handling problems were bad enough that Josh would pull into the infield for the rest of the race.

April 23-24, 2010- Josh and the crew will take this weekend off to regroup and wait for the new Wall-2-Wall engine to get here and get the shock testing done. (*Note- Through no fault of the Putnam Race Team or Wall to Wall engines, the deal for the engine from them fell through. We apologize to Wall to Wall engines for this.)

April 16-17, 2010- Green Valley Speedway- Still no shock test and a borrowed engine, the team travelled to Green Valley Speedway for two nights of racing with a SRRS double header. Friday night, with the engine not running good, Josh would not qualify in the top 3 of his group and have to run a heat race. Finishing second in his heat would put him into the feature event. Josh would finish the feature in 14th. On Saturday, it was discovered that several rocker arms were bad on the engine. Scrambling to find replacements, they finally did and replaced those. Again having to run a heat race, Josh would start the feature race toward the back of the field. A first lap pile up would cause the car behind Josh to clip him on the right rear flattening the tire. The crew would get a new tire on but Josh would be put on the rear of the restart for leaving the track. Josh would try to complete the race but with the ill-handling car and the engine still not running well, he would retire before the end of the race.

April 10, 2010- Thunderhill Raceway- Still waiting on a shock test with Sammy, the Putnam Race Team went to Thunderhill Raceway for the SRRS race. After not qualifying well on the dry track, Josh would have to run a B-main. Josh was in 4th place, which would have transferred him to the main event, when the engine went up in a ball of flames!

April 4, 2010- North Georgia Speedway- Southern Regional Racing Series held a 40-lap, $3,000 to win race at North Georgia Speedway and the Putnam Race Team travelled there to participate. Still battling problems with the new shock, Josh would not qualify in to the feature. He would get a provisional though and started the main event on the last row. Josh would move up 8 spots and finish the race in 16th place.

March 27, 2010- Clarksville Speedway- Out of 31 entries for the SRRS event, Josh qualified second fastest in his group. This would secure a third row outside start for the 40 lap feature race. Josh would advance all the way to second spot. On lap 36 as Josh set the car up going into turn 1 the car failed to make the turn. It was apparent that something had broken causing the car not to turn. Upon inspection, the right front control arm was bent, the ball joint was broken, and the shock was ruined. This would put a disappointing end to the race for Josh.

March 20, 2010- North Alabama Speedway- The new shock package came in. Josh and the crew got them on the car but there was no time for a shock test to set them up properly. Even so, Josh decided to run the P.R.O. series race at North Alabama Speedway this weekend. 26 Super Late Models would register in. Josh set quick time in his group and also set the quick time overall! This would secure an inside pole starting position for the feature event. Fighting fuel pressure problems, Josh would drop back to third place at one time only to rally back to first place. During a caution for another car, Josh's fuel pressure would drop and the car stalled. We thought sure that was the disappointing end to Josh's night, but Josh would get the car started back. He was able to continue the race to take the checkered flag in first place! A very special thank you to the soldier from Texas that gave him the good luck pin! I think he will be wearing that good luck charm from now on.

March 6, 2010- Duck River Speedway- 31 Super Late Models registered in. Josh did not make the feature through qualifying in his group, and would have to run a B-main. He finished 4th in the third B-main of the night securing a 17th starting position in the feature race. Josh drove a very good race. He took his time, passing cars as he could and steadily moved toward the front. Josh earned the hard-charger award of the night by moving up so many spots and finishing the feature in 9th place!

February 26-27, 2010- Green Valley Speedway- After qualifying and heats not going so well the crew put a new set of shocks on for the consi race on Sunday. In the consi, Josh was heading for the front when the car barely got off the edge of the top of turn three. The soupy mud up there would not allow Josh to correct the car and threw him into the frozen water barrels next to the wall. This would damage the car too badly to continue the race or to race the feature. Thanks to the guys in the 01 car for letting Josh borrow their car in order to start the feature and at least get his start money and points!

February 20, 2010- Moulton Speedway- The nights events got off to a good start with Josh qualifying 4th fastest out of 21 Super Late Models to secure a second row outside start for the 35 lap feature. On the start of the feature a caution came out after just one lap in the books. On the restart of the race, it was apparent as Josh went into turns 1-2 that something was wrong with the car. The steering had gone out. Josh tried for several more laps to manhandle the car but ended up pulling off. This would put a disappointing end to this night of racing.

January 8, 2010- At the SRRS Awards Banquet January 8, 2010, Josh was awarded Second Place in the Championship Points Standings for the 2009 season. The 2009 race season was actually Josh's first full season in a Super Late Model and his first time to travel with a series! Josh and the Putnam Race Team are very proud of this accomplishment. He would like to thank all of his fans and his sponsors without whom we couldn't do what we do!
